Business Challenge
China Mobile Guangdong Branch is experiencing fast growth in her business as well as her organizational structure. Various computer systems have been developed to cope with the management needs in various departments. However, there was no standardized development framework among the subsidiaries, and many systems are even repeatedly developed in different cities' mobile companies. These create problems like multiple user accounts management, waste of resources on redundancy. The client likes to firstly define a standard application development framework with standardize web services interface, then to develop common components for the use of all subsidiaries.

The solution delivered to the customer consists of half consultancy and half system development. The consultancy services part involved the designed of a Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) application infrastructure and framework including definition of the interface standard of the XML web services. The system was finally deployed on Microsoft technology with
.NET framework and application center server.
On the development side, we developed the basic management modules including the single sign on module with direct user information synchronization with the active directory. Other modules includes user management, access control management, message interface, email interface, SMS interface and deployment management. Those are the basic module developed in the first stage, the system was later expanded to cover more advance modules like workflow engine, mapping data information interface, document management component, search engine and user portal. The solution now formed the backbone of all the management applications in all cities mobile companies and received high reputation from the customer.
